RefReady ("we," "our," or "us") operates the RefReady mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• Account information (name, email address) when you create an account
• Profile information (referee grade, experience level, age group)
• Game schedule data you enter or import
• Earnings and mileage records you track
• Messages you send through the Community feature

Information collected automatically:

• Device information (device type, operating system version)
• App usage data (screens visited, features used)
• Crash reports and performance data

Location data:

• Your device location is accessed when you use the Check-In feature to verify you are at the correct game field. Location is not collected passively or in the background.

Information we do NOT collect:

• Contacts or phone book data
• Photos or camera data (unless you voluntarily upload a profile photo)
• Payment card information (all billing is handled by Apple or Google)

2. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

RefReady is designed to be used by referees of all ages, including those under 13. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

• We require verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information from users under 13
• Parents/guardians can review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child's information by contacting us
• We do not condition participation on disclosure of more information than reasonably necessary
• We do not share children's personal information with third parties

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the App's features (scheduling, earnings tracking, game management)
• To send you game reminders and notifications you've opted into
• To improve the App's performance and fix bugs
• To facilitate the Community and Marketplace features
• To respond to your support requests

4. Data Storage and Security

Most of your data is stored locally on your device. When you use account-based features (Community, Marketplace), data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:

• With your consent: When you post to the Community or Marketplace, that content is visible to other users
• Service providers: We use essential services (hosting, crash reporting) that process data on our behalf under strict agreements
• Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect safety

6. Your Rights

You can:

• Access and export your data at any time through the App's Settings
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Opt out of non-essential notifications
• Request information about what data we hold

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services (ArbiterSports, Assignr, GameOfficials) for schedule imports. These integrations are initiated by you and governed by those services' own privacy policies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email.
